Last Call Poker League

I believe most people have already heard this information, but just as an official announcement we want everyone to know that The Box Seat venue is closing it's doors on May 23rd so we will no longer be hosting our Thursday night games there effective immediately.

We are currently talking to other venues and hope to have a replacement Thursday night venue for everyone in the near future. Stay posted to our website, twitter and most updated Facebook page for the latest information.

The Annual Grand Prize Tournament will be held this Saturday May 19th at Cragnackers at 1:00. If you qualified please arrive no later than 12:30 PM for registration. Remember on the annual tournament you get extra starting chips for each of the 4 quarters so if you happened t...o finish 1st place at a venue during all 4 quarters you could start with as many as 20,000 additional chips (5,000 starting plus 5,000 for each quarter). Just a reminder there will not be any games at Cragnackers on Sunday, May 13th due to the Mother's Day holiday.

Just a reminder that we will not be having our Sunday games at Cragnackers on Sunday April 8th, 2012 due to the Easter Holiday.

The Grand Prize Las Vegas trip to the World Poker Tour Boot Camp tournament has been scheduled for Saturday May 19th at Cragnackers. Cards in the air at 1:00, be there by 12:30 for registration.

Remember since this is the grand prize tournament you just had to have qualified in one of the last 3 quarters or this quarter to play. You will receive extra starting chips from all 4 quarters for this season. Everyone starts with 5,000 and the maximum extra chips if you finished first place at a venue for all 4 quarters would be 5,000 x 4 (20,000 additional).

The last day for points for this quarter will be Friday May 11th and the new season starts on Saturday May 12th.

By popular demand, we now have a Thursday venue once again starting this upcoming Thursday March 1st at The Box Seat in Hermitage!

The Box Seat is in the Publix shopping center right up the street from where About Time used to be located.

Games will begin at 6:45 PM and 9:00 PM SHARP.

Since this is a new venue and day everyone will have 0 points and we still have about 2 months left in this quarter so if you have not qualified anywhere or are looking to qualify in a higher spot then this is your chance!

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

By now most everyone has heard that our About Time Pizza Bar venue suddenly closed their doors permanently with no notice to our league.

We have added JC's Bullseye as a new location and will begin playing poker there on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 6 PM and 8 PM.

We will be playing our Friday night games at Cragnackers at 6 PM and 8 PM as well.

The 6:00 PM are not as preferable as the old 6:45 PM start times, but since all these locations have Karaoke starting at 10 we had to move the times up.

We have implemented a new rule to help accommodate the 6:00 time frame and that is for ANY game in our league that starts at 6:00 PM on a Week Day, you will be allowed TWO blind levels (30

Effective Immediately as of 1/30/2012 all Saturday and Sunday games will be played at Cragnackers in Hermitage instead of About Time.

The game times will remain the same, 3:15 PM and 5:30 PM. You will find last weeks points from About Time now in the Cragnackers/Saturdays Venue section.

Please note we will NOT be playing this upcoming Sunday, February 5th due to the Super Bowl.

First Saturday at Cragnackers will be February 4th, 2012 and the first Sunday at Cragnackers will be February 12th.

We will continue to play at About Time on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 6:45 PM and 9:00 PM and we will still continue to play at Cragnackers on Mondays at 6:45 PM and 9:00 PM

Out of 140 potential spots we had 61 duplicate (or more) qualifiers leaving us with 79 unique players that have qualified for the quarterly tournament coming up this Saturday January 28th at Cragnackers. Cards will be in the air at 1:00 PM so please arrive no later than 12:30 PM for registration.

Introducing Last Call Poker League’s Bad Beat Jackpot

Beginning on Monday January 16th, 2012 Last Call Poker League will begin a progressive Bad Beat Jackpot that will start at $10.00 and will increase by $10 every Monday until the Jackpot is hit or a cap of $250 is reached. Once a jackpot is hit the pot will reset back to $10 on the following Monday and begin its progression again.

Bad Beat Jackpot Rules:

Aces full of tens or better must be beaten.

To qualify for the Bad Beat Jackpot both the winning and losing hands must:

Be the player’s best possible combination of five cards.

Include both of the player’s hole cards.

The 6:45 PM Game tonight (10/10/2011) at Cragnackers in Hermitage is Last Call Poker League's 1000th tournament!

In commemoration of this special tournament we will be giving away $100 cash plus a Last Call Poker hat and shirt to the game winner!

Thanks to all of our players who allowed us to achieve this milestone.

Just as a FYI, the Saturday and Sunday games are at About Time at 3:15 and 5:30, but on the website calendar and points they will still show up as being under Luckys through the end of the quarter. To see your Saturday/Sunday points until the next of this quarter you will check the Luckys area. Sorry for the confusion, but it is the simplest way to keep track without manually re-entering the last 2 months of points.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Effective immediately all Saturday and Sunday games for the rest of this quarter will be played at About Time instead of Luckys. Same times, 3:15 PM and 5:30 PM.

We apologize to all the players who came out to Luckys this weekend, but we received zero notice on this change as well. We will be playing THIS Saturday and Sunday at About Time and all points will transfer over. Thank you for your understanding on this item that was completely out of our control.
